Prevention

• Intense anxiety, panic, or overwhelming distress 

• Thoughts of self-harm or suicide

• A sudden change in mood, behavior, or thinking (agitation, confusion, paranoia, or severe depression)

• Trouble coping after a major stressor (loss, trauma, conflict, housing instability, etc.) *

• A medication concern (side effects, stopped meds, or meds not working as expected)

• Psychosis symptoms (hearing/seeing things, delusional thoughts, feeling disconnected from reality)

• Substance use concerns alongside mental health symptoms 

• Risk of needing hospitalization

• A need for short-term observation, stabilization, and a plan for support in connecting to services quickly (outpatient therapy, psychiatry, case management, community resources)
